Geoff Wilson 400 game player and leading run scorer


Geoff Wilson started his career in 1980 and developed into an outstanding first XI player as an outstanding opening bat, being named in the Rosanna Cricket Club Team of the Century as an opening batsman. Geoff has played an important role off the field in the roles of junior coach, bringing on many of the juniors into quality senior cricketers for the club and as club statistician for many years developing the enviable records that we possess today.

Geoff is the club's leading run scorer with over 11,000 runs and can be truly classed an all-rounder with his left arm orthodox offies. Geoff has been a member of  3 1st XI premierships. He was 2nd XI captain for many seasons.

Geoff is a winner of the prestigiuos association Brady Medal in the HDCA indicating his cricketing talent and was bestowed the honour by the club of a major award being named after him with the introduction of the Geoff Wilson Medal in 2013 for the best player in the club based on game voting.
